While we cannot remove all stress and anxiety from our lives, we do have the power to change the way out bodies react to stressful events and emotional triggers. And research shows yoga can help reduce the physical symptoms of anxiety as well as significantly decrease anxiety levels. Yoga classes, which combine gentle stretching and strengthening, mindful movement and deep breathing serve as an actual “stress rehearsal,” teaching students to remain calm and focused off their mat in daily life activity and at rest.
