Please join us for the District 113 Education Foundation’s annual Pizza Bowl and second annual Bakers Cup competition on Sunday, January 31 from 5-7 p.m. at Highland Park High School. Come vote for the best pizza in town and satisfy your sweet tooth by crowning the best dessert in the district—all for just $10 ($25 per family).
This year’s participants include Il Forno, Domino’s, Bella Via, The Italian Kitchen, Wa-Pa-Getti’s Pizza, Lou Malnati’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, Bent Fork Bakery, Baker Boys, Doughy Delights, Sunset Foods, Tom’s Pastry, Panera Bread, and a mystery staff baker!
Proceeds benefit the District 113 Education Foundation, which provides funding and support for unique and innovative education programs at Deerfield and Highland Park High Schools. Since its inception in 2007, the District 113 Education Foundation has raised and distributed more than $220,000 to HPHS and DHS. Funding is made possible by Foundation events and programs such as the upcoming Pizza Bowl, as well as the Thank an Educator Honor Roll (more information is available at www.district113foundation.
The Foundation recently awarded more than $18,500 in grants to DHS and HPHS for 2015-16, including an EKG machine, an infrared camera, a news magazine library, a self-defense program and a social-emotional program for Latino parents.
