John Mayer will discuss his new book, “Steppenwolf Theatre Company of Chicago: In Their Own Words,” the first book to chronicle the iconic theater company.
The book offers an account of the theater’s early years and development, from a church basement in Highland Park, its work, and the methodologies that have made it one of the most influential ensemble theaters today and reveals the story of its rise from basement to Broadway. The event may include a virtual chat with Steppenwolf co-founder Jeff Perry.
Books will be for sale and the event will conclude with a book signing.
