Irina Makkai Classical Ballet and Dance School is proud to host Downtown Highland Park’s second annual Kids Fair on Saturday, August 5th from 10 a.m.—1 p.m. in Port Clinton Square (600 Central Ave, Highland Park). The fair will showcase “SuperKids” in Downtown Highland Park, with arts and crafts, dance and music classes, shopping, food, your favorite Spider and Wonder Woman superheroes, and loads of superhero-themed entertainment for the whole family.
The Downtown Highland Park Kids Fair has tons of fun activities planned for families and children of all ages and interests. Kids and their parents can try sample dance classes from Ballet Makkai, music classes from The Music Gallery, a ninja-themed obstacle course from Pulse Fitness, and a Broadway play area from WeOrbit. You can even meet SuperElmo!
Parents and children alike can enjoy treats from Michael’s Chicago-Style Red Hots, Love That Spice, and Frost Gelato. While perusing through the fair, Orphans of the Storm in Highland Park will have furry friends available to adopt of different ages, sizes and breeds.
Parents of babies and toddlers will enjoy upscale clothing and toy selections from Sprout Kids and Beanstalk Toyland & Bookstore. Tweens and teens alike will love to peruse the offerings from Uncle Dan’s Outfitters, HP Tops, Riche Organics, and Glamour Girlz Central.
