Very annoying commercial

Dear Walgreens: As a breast cancer patient I find this "commercial" for your organization, deeply offensive. It suggests that if we keep a sense of humor,(blue wig) get some bright "Walgreens" lipstick, and "soldier on" with our "sisters" we are fighting the good fight. I wish it was that simplistic. You obviously did not consult anyone with breast cancer when you created this "commercial." I will not be patronizing your store in the future. You have no understanding of the mental, emotional, and physical impacts of breast cancer and this offensive commercial shows your insensitivity and naïveté.

I love this commercial! it shows woman being empowered and strong for fighting cancer. I don't think it looks like a joke at all. Everyone who is offended is looking for a reason. Very empowering ad. If it were asking for donations for cancer it would have made me donate!

I find this to be a terrible and horrible ad campaign! It glorifies cancer and relays the message that it's fun to have cancer...Please pull all advertising re this campaign...I would strongly suggest you fire your ad agency that came up with this stupid idea!!!

You guys don’t know jack about breast cancer and the side effects that women are left with after they are poisoned, burned and slashed. It’s so wrong of you to act like you do.

Brilliant and bold. Kudos to Walgreens for depicting this experience authentically.

I love the ad campaign but can’t even understand what they are spelling/saying/singing.

I was just at one of your stores in Venice Florida. I am a younger woman who just had a complete hysterectomy six weeks ago and cannot have children. While picking up my hormone replacement therapy and standing in line the woman told me to make sure you don’t become pregnant on this medication. I explained to her that I had a hysterectomy and that’s completely impossible and she said well it’s from corporate that we have to say that. I hope I am reaching corporate in this message. that should not be said! My doctor tells me how to use my medication you don’t need to tell me how to use my medication for women who are finding out they can no longer have children and are reminded of it when they’re picking up their medication is a complete lack of compassion. You need to stop that practice!!

Very powerful commercial. Brilliant.

Maybe Walgreens should agree to send itemized bills and not have their customer service say no.

As a breast cancer survivor, I do believe this is my favorite commercial. It shows the inner strength and beauty that can be seen in spite of the cancer that invaded. I applaud y’all.

Beautiful story and a beautiful women.

That ad is sooooo irritating, some type of rap music that is hard to understand. I immediately turn the channel it's so grating. Get a better song.

Very nice

This woman is beautiful.

Yeah we'll wait till Metastatic disease throws it at you!

As someone who has battled cancer, the message in your ad is powerful, but your stores don't all follow this example. I walked into a local walgreens when I was bald and I feel I got profiled by someone working there. They followed me throughout the store as I was just going about my business and picking up whatever it was I was there for. They looked at me as a threat. Now that I have my hair back, this has not happened again.

Thank you for the inspirational ad. What a great service to the community of women who suffer from all kinds of hair loss.

That us okay. I will be be filing complaint

So good

It’s Tuesday and very few items that are on the flyer are in stock pack they don’t even have aqua Fina on the floor the detergent turn on the shelf somebody need to look at this and fix the problem at this location

Walgreens this campaign ad makes me angry every time I see it broadcast!! A better idea would’ve been to make the ad more generic to all forms of cancer, breast cancer is NOT the only cancer type. And it is especially aggravating that is airing during colorectal cancer awareness month, of which I’m personally a Stage IV survivor. #notallcancerscomewithpinkribbons

Absolutely powerful and incredible program! Proud to work for such an inspiring organization. Battle Beautifully!

Hopefully this service will be expanded. Sadly, the closest places to me are in the "wealthy " neighborhoods. Too far to go.

I find your “battle beautifully” campaign deeply offensive. I don’t need to buy your products or make myself up so you can make money and others can feel more comfortable about my battle. I’m a warrior and it’s offensive that your company is attempting to monetize and contribute to a time when most women are already feeling less than and their focus is on survival.

How much $$$ has Walgreens given to cancer RESEARCH?

Love to see companies stepping up and helping! Who better than Walgreens! 🎀💕#Survivor #TNBC

I watch my daughter fight MBC with Stage 4 bone cancer. She is only 41. Given a 22% chance on 5 year survival. She remains positive every day.

This is nice ad. Is it still your policy to allow your pharmacists to invoke a "personal belief" justification for stepping in between a patient and a doctor? Has that happened yet with a patient who needs pain medication prescribed by her doctor that the pharmacist does not approve of? www.nytimes.com/2018/06/25/us/walgreens-pharmacist-pregnancy-miscarriage.html

Two years ago I had breast cancer. They found it so early, so small, they had trouble getting a sample for biopsy. I’m fine now (as far as I know). I will never, EVER take for granted how blessed I was. I support these women 2000% as they fight to deal with their identities, their health, and their recoveries!

Been there too. Keep holding to. God’s hand!

God is Good

You are still beautiful 🙏

Good girl I'm with you

Well I survived cancer and a whole lot of other things to and I never cried cuz it was so unfair because nothing is fair in this world

A company that has a legal team that says falsifying employment documents through the forgery of written signatures and committing fraud against the local and federal government are not acts that the company will punish (especially when it's actually/explicitly stated that it is done to get rid of someone with disabilities that keep them from getting as much work done as the next person, and who is "wasting time" saying it's wrong to sell damaged/expired products to customers, especially OTC medicine for children, and that stores need to comply with health/safety laws and shouldn't have to fight management and the company to even be able to follow the law) should not be in business. Even more so when you are driving numerous employees to the point of having suicidal thoughts, some of which are following through with them (my sources being employees from various stores across the country), and your HR department has personally told me that you don't care, not even if the employee (or former employee) were to publicly blame the company for their death through numerous media organizations before following through with it. That also includes the recent Healthcare fraud (a separate case from the one before that also involved forgery and falsifying employment documents) that they were charged with resulting in a $269 million dollar fine: www.chicagotribune.com/business/ct-walgreens-fraud-accord-20190122-story.html Your company has become a horribly corrupt, unethical, and even lawbreaking company ever since Boots Alliance executives started running it, and are systematically destroying the trust built up in the company. Mr. Walgreen would be ashamed of what has become of his company. #Walgreens #retaliation #discrimination #illegal #forgery #fraud
