Join The Affiliate Circle for a private home-studio tour and Q&A with Evanston mixed media and architectural artist, Heather Hancock, on August 17th. Through the shaping and manipulation of individual pieces of glass, Heather explores neuroscience, biology, urban landscapes, and the connection between people, their environment, and the natural world. After working for more than a decade in physical rehabilitation, she transitioned to making mixed media work with glass. However, her interest and field of study remained the same: information, environment, and the human mind. Heather shares, “When I start a piece, I set up a hypothesis about how the piece will function to engage viewers.”

Heather’s work has been shown throughout the US, most recently at Art Expo New York and Ken Saunders Gallery in Chicago.
