Body Evolve, a pilates studio in Highland Park, is celebrating National Pilates Day on Saturday, May 6th!  National Pilates Day celebrates health and the strength, balance and flexibility that comes with doing pilates.  According to Joseph Pilates, the creator of this wildly popular exercise, “Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.”  Pilates is a form of exercise that anyone can do to build strength and flexibility.  Utilizing either the “reformer” equipment or exercises done on a floor mat, pilates develops breathing, core strength and body alignment.  Pilates focuses on the center of the body as the “powerhouse” and all movements begin there and move out to the hands and feet.  It is particularly popular with those seeking to maintain mobility.

Body Evolve is celebrating Pilates Day in a multitude of ways.  The most exciting is their new expansion – Body Evolve is growing into the space next door.  The larger space will allow more room for their numerous classes, both mat and reformer, private lessons, and workshops.

In addition, Body Evolve is offering a free mat class at 11:30 AM on 5/6.  Reserve your spot at 847-926-8490.  Bring a friend and enjoy a free class with appetizers and beverages post-workout.

Last, Body Evolve is offering two private sessions for only $130.  Just in time for Mother’s Day, this special must be purchased by 5/14.  Learn more at www.bodyevolve.com.
