You can’t put a price on walking into a family-owned store that truly cares about its customers, community, and clientele. The store that has made a lasting impression on the North Shore for the past two decades is ENAZ. The trendy boutique was founded by Susan Lurie in the early ‘90s and originally started as a 400 square-foot custom leather studio at 441 Central Ave. Sisters Samantha Shapiro, Melinda Kaplan, and Lena Blitstein came on board and the shop eventually expanded into the 4,000 square-foot space, located across the street at 444 Central Ave.

ENAZ stands for Energy…Nature…Attitude…Zest for Life, a mantra the owners live by. The shop offers a true mother-daughter experience and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Enaz is stylish for young moms and women of every age. Nothing in-store is overly trendy; there are quality pieces that can last a lifetime if handled with care.

“The items that people buy, they wear forever – that’s one of the best compliments I can ever receive,” owner Samantha Shapiro speaks of her secret to success. “There’s something here for everyone…we listen to our customers,” Samantha says.

Enaz supports local jewelry designers and also makes their own perfume oils and lotions in their Spa Bar. Over 20+ scented oils can be packaged as a roller bottle, diffuser, bath gel or lotion. These are great for a housewarming gift, a teacher, or someone feeling under the weather.

Enaz is nestled into HP’s East End – the actual beginning of Central Avenue. It’s a great place to start your shopping (don’t forget about the giant parking lot) and move your way down. This weekend only, take 20% off all clothing* and take an additional 20% off the sale rack. (* Excludes jewelry & accessories. ** No adjustments to prior receipts. Sale honored in both store locations.  Hard marked sale items are final sale.)

Don’t forget to shop Highland Park’s East End this Thursday, April 27th from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Find a gift for Mother’s Day, a cute outfit for spring, and enjoy something yummy at one of our participating restaurants.

As a parent of little ones, how many times have you asked yourself: “What are we going to do today?”.  It could be raining, snowing, or the kiddos are simply tired of doing the same thing. Kids need to play and explore and test their new skills. The CDC says that parents should “encourage free play as much as possible.” Free play helps young children develop motor skills, gain strength, and avoid obesity.

WeOrbit, located at 1736 First Street, recently opened to provide a solution to the “What are we going to do?” question.  Consisting of play spaces specifically geared toward different age groups, WeOrbit gives children a safe place to play and explore indoors.

The Soft Play Area is designed exclusively for newborns to early walkers.  It is created with the littlest ones in mind, from tummy time activities to wall activities – all for those just learning to stand and walk.

The Toddler Area encourages art creations and explorations within the play house, walls and cubbies, while the bigger kids enjoy the two-deck play structure with a climbing wall and a quiet nook for reading.

Saving the best for last, the interactive floor is a place for kids and adults to play.  A variety of games for single or multi-player use are available and get those feet moving!

WeOrbit offers engaging classes for both parents and children, including their Mommy & Baby Yoga (Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.), Parent & Toddler Yoga (Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.), Kindermusik – Wiggle & Grow (Fridays, 2-2:45 p.m.), and their Breastfeeding Drop-In Clinic on the 2nd & 4th Monday of the month (10:00 a.m. – 12 p.m.).

You can also rent WeOrbit’s indoor play space for your child’s next birthday party or private event (baby shower, reveal party, or any other special event) on Saturdays and Sundays. Click here for more details on availability and fees.
